There is even a Bristol scale for the shape of feces - the quantity and quality of stool is extremely important in terms of diagnosing diseases. DO I NEED TO CLEAN THE INTESTINE? A healthy person with normal stools and no digestive problems does not need additional cleansing measures. The intestines are not a tube that can be flushed out of blockages. In some situations, it is necessary to cleanse the colon, for example, in the presence of fecal stones or in preparation for a diagnostic or therapeutic colonoscopy. There are a number of "cleansing" measures aimed at emptying the large intestine. I would like to draw your attention to the following: the small intestine is not cleansed with an enema and hydrocolonotherapy!

Currently, there are three ways to cleanse the large intestine: enema, hydrocolonotherapy and lavage. For 10 years of practicing the detox method, I have used all three methods and can accurately name their advantages and disadvantages. A cleansing enema is the introduction of water or a solution into the lumen of the large intestine using Esmarch's mug. Usually from 1 to 1.5 liters of liquid is introduced. The procedure is usually performed by a nurse, although in some wellness centers, or, as I call them, enemas, the procedure is performed by the patients themselves. The process is very unpleasant, painful and is accompanied by the expulsion of fluid from the intestines along with feces. From the pros: cheap and cheerful. It must be said that only the distal (terminal) part of the large intestine, the rectum and the sigmoid colon, is "cleansed". The method is good for chronic constipation, intoxication of the body. Ayurvedists like to use enema, "Malakhovites", who consider the procedure to be almost a panacea for all diseases. However, the method has contraindications. Complications from an enema: exacerbation of hemorrhoids, anal fissures, problems with stool, violation of the intestinal microflora.
